Cooking Suggestions
1. Classic Beef Stew (Comfort Dish)
Ingredients:
- Beef cubes
- Potatoes, carrots, onions
- Garlic
- Beef stock
- Salt & pepper
Steps:
- Thaw beef cubes overnight in the chiller.
- Sear beef cubes in a hot pot until browned.
- Add garlic and onions, sauté until fragrant.
- Add vegetables and beef stock.
- Simmer on low heat for 1.5–2 hours until tender.
- Season to taste and serve hot.
2. Quick Stir-Fry Beef Cubes
- Marinate beef with soy sauce, pepper, and a little cornstarch (15 mins).
- Heat oil in a wok, stir-fry garlic.
- Add beef cubes and cook until browned.
- Toss with vegetables (e.g., broccoli, capsicum).
- Finish with oyster sauce or black pepper sauce.
3. Beef Curry
- Sear beef cubes first for extra flavor.
- Add curry paste and coconut milk.
- Simmer for 1–1.5 hours until beef is tender.

4. Beef Rendang (Rich & Flavorful Indonesian/Malay Dish)
Ingredients:
- Beef cubes
- 400ml coconut milk
- 3 tbsp rendang paste (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 stalks lemongrass (bruised)
- 4 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 turmeric leaves (optional)
- Salt and sugar to taste
Steps:
- Thaw beef cubes overnight in the chiller.
- Heat a pot and sauté the rendang paste until fragrant.
- Add beef cubes and stir well to coat with the spices.
- Pour in coconut milk and add lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and turmeric leaves.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer on low heat for 1.5–2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
- Season with salt and a little sugar to taste. Serve hot with steamed rice.
