Cooking Suggestions:

Striploin Steak with Balsamic Glaze

  • Ingredients: Striploin steak, olive oil, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, honey, garlic, fresh rosemary
  • Instructions:
    1. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
    2. Heat olive oil in a skillet or on the grill and cook the steak to your desired doneness (about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare).
    3. While the steak is resting, prepare the glaze: In a small pan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and reduce until it thickens (about 5 minutes).
    4. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the steak and garnish with fresh rosemary before serving.

Garlic Butter Tiger Prawns

  • Ingredients: Tiger prawns, butter, garlic (minced), lemon juice, fresh parsley, salt, pepper, chili flakes (optional)
  • Instructions:
    1. Heat butter in a large pan over medium heat.
    2. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
    3. Add tiger prawns, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes (if using), and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
    4. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and garnish with chopped parsley.
    5. Serve with rice, pasta, or a side of vegetables.

Sticky BBQ Chicken Wings

  • Ingredients: Chicken wings, BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic, chili flakes (optional)
  • Instructions:
    1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    2. Toss chicken wings with a little oil, salt, and pepper, and bake on a baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden.
    3. In a pan, heat BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and chili flakes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
    4. Once the wings are baked, toss them in the BBQ glaze and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until they’re sticky and caramelized.
    5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

Stir-Fried Sliced Abalone with Garlic and Vegetables

  • Ingredients: Sliced abalone, garlic (minced), oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, bell peppers, mushrooms, snap peas, green onions
  • Instructions:
    1. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil.
    2. Add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
    3. Add your choice of vegetables (such as bell peppers, mushrooms, and snap peas) and stir-fry until tender-crisp.
    4. Add the sliced abalone and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until just cooked through (abalone cooks very quickly).
    5. Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Stir to combine.
    6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with steamed rice.
